How to Choose the Right Size and Grade

Drywall and concrete hand tools get bought by job phase. That’s the whole game. Match the blade width or float type to the stage you’re working, and prioritize rust-resistant steel that’ll survive an unheated Montana shop through winter.

Here’s the core split. Hand tools offer precision and control for detail work, while power tools deliver speed and force for larger tasks. Concrete Finishing and Demo Tools

Concrete flatwork needs a different set than drywall, and the tools split into two camps: those that place and finish a fresh pour, and those that break up what’s already there.

For finishing, the trowel and the float do the heavy lifting. A trowel is a must-have for smoothing and leveling concrete surfaces.
