WBC Building Components

WBC Building Components is the manufacturing arm of Western Building Center, producing roof trusses, floor trusses, wall panels, and pre-built structural components for residential and commercial construction across Montana. The 23,900 square foot factory is located in Columbia Falls, near the WBC retail store and distribution center.

Every component is built from Machine Stress Rated lumber sourced from local Montana mills. Roof trusses are manufactured on a 1-inch steel layout table, pressed twice, and computer-scanned to verify quality. The result is uniform trusses that resist deformation, twisting, and shrinking. From simple garage trusses to complex curved and multi-angle roof systems, the engineering team uses MiTek software to design components that meet Montana’s snow load and wind requirements.

Pre-built wall panels — interior and exterior with headers and sheathing — are constructed in the plant and delivered to the jobsite. This eliminates jobsite waste and gets projects ready for trusses in days instead of weeks. Floor trusses range from 11-7/8 inches to 24 inches tall and up to 40 feet long, with open web designs that accommodate HVAC ductwork, plumbing, and electrical installation.
